  2.      As hard as the developers of the code try, there will always be a  fax
  3. you can't send to or maybe recv a fax from. Each fax has it's own  built-in
  4. code, and it's just impossible to make every one perfectly compatible (even
  5. between fax machines). The Zoom V-series (V32 & V42bis) modems support both
  6. Class-1  &  Class-2 fax.  If your software also has the Class1  driver  try
  7. that on stubborn fax's.  Very often, one driver will work when another does
  8. not.

  10.      Sometime you might have trouble with 1 fax machine you usually fax  to
  11. OK.  This  may  clear up if you call right back  (you  will  get  different
  12. connections).  Or the phone company may be routing the call on a  different
  13. route for a few hours or even a day.

  15. * At  least  1  fax machine (Panasonic) needs to  have  the  'frequency'
  16. changed  on  the FAX machine to receive from a Faxmodem. Other  brands  may
  17. need this change too.

  19. MTEZ  comes with CLASS2.FXH. You can Download CLASS1.FXH from the Zoom  BBS
  20. *>>NITES<<* and weekends.   617-451-5284.
  21.      After you put CLASS1.FXH in your MTEZ <dir>, In the CAS SETUP you just
  22. highlight  the  Driver  and press the space bar, and it  will  change  your
  23. driver.  You  do have to remove  FAXMAN /R   and re-load Faxman  after  the
  24. change.

  26.      If you have other FAX software call the Mfr for a Class1 driver.

  28. (If none of this helps then the modem is probably defective).
